Join us for the monthly West Michigan Linux Users Group meeting.

This week Thursday, 7/26, is the next WMLUG meeting. Thanks to two of our members, Adam Tauno Williams and Ben Rousch, we have two great presentations this month!

Adam Tauno Williams’ topic is “D” is for Debugging in which he’ll answer the question of “What is going on?” He’ll focus on a range of tools and techniques to determine what is really happening, who is doing it, and how long it is taking. A ‘typical’ LINUX install has a rich set of tools which are generally underutilized but can provide an enormous amount of information of the condition under-the-hood.

Everybody knows that underneath that sexy little green Android robot lies your rugged, beloved Linux kernel, but most of us don’t use Android like we use other Linuxes. Ben Rousch will show us how to rectify that situation with talks about the Linux on Android project and BotBrew Basil. So root your phone and free up some space on your SD card to find out more!

As usual, we will be meeting at New Horizons in room 1 at 6 pm. The address is 630 Kenmoor Ave SE, Suite 201, Grand Rapids MI 49546.

Snacks and pop will be provided. Please let us know if you plan on attending. Note: If you get there after 6:30 and the doors are locked, please call my cell at 616-295-5168 so we can let you in.
